Do you know what temptations are? Sinful temptations are challenges or obstacles thrown to us in our every day lives. These maybe in the forms of knowledge, love, money, power or any significant object that we can take into consideration as something important to us. Is love a temptation? Yes, it is. One might not be fully conscious of it but there are times when love becomes a sweet temptation to all of us. Loving another person who is already tied up to another, do you not consider it as a temptation?

Man's Sins Bounded To Sinful Temptations

Sins are bounded to temptations. There is no temptation where sin is not a part of it. Man's deadly sins - pride, lust, wrath, greed, sloth, envy, and gluttony - these were the sins born out of these fairly sweet temptations. And these had led mankind down the wrong path most of the time.

How do we stay away from temptations? Can we even avoid them? Yes, we can stay away from them. In spite of the reality that human beings are vulnerable to temptations, we have the ability to stay out of the attraction of sin. We just need to put in extra effort and more faith for us to fully prevent it. Of course you have to know your own personal temptations. Recognizing the things which challenges and tempts you allows you move away from it.

After recognition comes your ability to battle sinful temptations using the word of God. Nothing in this world has greater power against temptations than God's words itself. Once you are equipped properly with enough faith, then regardless of how hard the challenge or temptation is, you won't ever bend down to its grip.

Wander Away From Sinful Temptations

But also remember that we're definitely not perfect. There will come a moment in which we fall unto temptations hands. When that happens, what we all must do is repent. Repent for the sins we have created and promised not only to God but to ourselves to not fall to the very same sinful temptations again and again.

We have to learn from all those temptations we had experienced in our day-to-day lives. We must know the right way to deal with it the 2nd time it will attack us. Not just fall for it again. Pray and stay closer and faithful to God.
